Cryptid Catchers

A 90s themed cryptid-hunting board game for 2-4 players designed and built for a course at Ringling College of Art and Design.

Project Summary

Stories of fantastic and terrifying monsters have been around since the beginning of time. Although a lot of sightings and evidence over the years have been proven fake, there is undeniably something enticing about the ubiquity of these myths and the old saying that every lie has its roots in some truth… Could these monsters really exist? As a group of capable cryptid hunters, you’re set on finding out.

Personal Role

I was the sole creator of this project, with responsibilities including:

– Concept phase, visual design, narrative
– Game design, iterating on playtest feedback
– Physical game construction
